Bilingualism boosts children's focus!

A recent study, published by a York University professor, shows that bilingual children perform better than their monolingual peers in activities involving thinking, planning and inhibiting and initiating actions.

Because ASL is a second language for most people, I thought it was pretty interesting! Children who learn ASL now benefit from the earlier communication and fine motor practice at an earlier age as well as having the benefits of bilingualism!

On that note, our first round of classes start Friday, February 5th at 10:30am at 243 Milroy Drive, in the common's room! The next set of classes will be announced soon!

Also, if you have a preference for a day for classes, please comment below or email admin@bigheartmovinghands.com so we can plan classes accordingly!
